The Atlas Interactive LMS offers a cost effective solution for results tracking and management to customers requiring to run Atlas Interactive e-Learning courses over the Internet or corporate Intranet.

The LMS is delivered under the Petrolearn brand and is designed to work with SCORM™ compatible e-Learning courses.

The LMS incorporates the features required for registering, launching, tracking and reporting e-Learning content and provides a clear and easy-to-use interface both for the condidates sitting the course and for the training administrators responsible for managing the learners results.

Deployment Options

The Corporate Intranet solution is aimed at companies with the requirement to train medium to large numbers of learners via their company LAN and WAN.

The Internet option hosted by Atlas Interactive provides a cost effective solution for training over the Internet for small numbers of learners through to larger scale requirements. Learners can either join an open portal with an extensive range of courses available on a pay-per-licence basis or opt to have Atals Interactive manage their own dedicated web e-Learning portal with specific courses. This latter option allows clients to check and manage their own results.

For courses deployed locally via CD-ROM, results tracking and management are delivered via a standalone access database.

Technology

The LMS is served from a Mocrosoft IIS website using Active Server Pages (ASP) connected to an SQL Database (Microsoft SQL 2000). Full specification of the infrastructure used is carried out in the early stages of any project implementation as part of the Database Specification.
