Atlas Interactive recognises that competence assurance of personnel within the oil and gas industry is key to reducing risk, providing a safe working environment, and identifying training requirements. To this end, Atlas Interactive has been proactive in providing competence assurance consultancy services to various clients in the industry.
Within the Atlas Interactive organisation we have the capability to meet all your competency requirements. Our trained and qualified competence consultants have been involved in competence assurance since the mid 1990s and have been instrumental in developing and implementing competence systems for a number of clients in the UK, Netherlands, Norway, Malaysia, Equatorial Guinea, Trinidad, UAE, Canada and Australia. As part of the competence assurance system development, we are able to produce traditional paper-based systems or cutting edge paperless electronic systems with full reporting capability.

We are able to offer a total service to new build projects and have the capability to provide the following:
- Organisational design
- Development of job descriptions
- Development of recruitment strategy
- Development of Training Needs Analysis (TNA)
- Management of Training Programmes (including vendor training)
- Development of competence profiles and standards for each discipline, up to and including management levels
- Accreditation through awarding bodies (such as SQA) for customised awards
- Training of Assessors and Internal Verifiers
- Provision of third party Assessors and Internal Verifiers to ensure base competency prior to ‘sail away’ or ‘first oil’
For existing projects we are able to provide:

As part of the training needs analysis, we have the capability to map the requirements against the Atlas Interactive portfolio of e-Learning. This provides a very cost effective method of delivering the underpinning knowledge element of the competence assurance system. We are also able to provide instructor-led, blended learning courses where site-specific training and assessment can be provided.
Our International Headquarters, Offshore House in Aberdeen, UK, has been approved by the Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA) as an approved centre to deliver SQA accredited awards. We are audited by SQA to ensure our competence systems and training provision meet their high standards, ensuring robustness and credibility of the award system. |
